Default Scorpion pre-cat pipe owners look here please :)

Hi there, i've recently purchased a brand new but second hand scorpion precat high flow elbow and i was wondering if vectra c owners have found this a worthwhile mod to do?
    Any disadvantages?
( granted i should have asked this before i bought it)

Also how did you find fitting it?

Car is an 06 1.9 cdti 150 with the cat already been knocked out.

Worthwhile, yes. Better exhaust noise and I believe it has helped increase power. Currently running a BSR remap while saving funds to get a new map done.
    Disadvantages, none
Easy to fit, reasonably then we did have the rad pack off mine while fitting a hybrid turbo

Is it the main Cat you have knocked out as I have a straight through exhaust on mine. Might be worthwhile if it is your main cat you have knocked out to put a pipe in which will help the gases escape a bit better.

Yes makes a great difference, better power. you really need to get the heat shield off, which can be a ****** then cut it down a bit before you fit it back, but pipe is easy enough to do mainly from underneath car took my Vx mate 45 min to do half of that was trying to get heatsheild away!!

Forgot to say make sure you get all the gaskets needed from VX as well. Try not to use the old ones again

    Thanks for the replies
Probably won't put a straight through pipe in place of the empty cat due to it being an MOT failure, I work in an mot station so i'm sure they would pass a blind eye, however its just more hastle when i decide to sell ( hopefully thats many years away ).
