    Interesting read

"They’ll change the oil and oil filter, and check and top-up the brake fluid, anti-freeze, coolant, windscreen washer and power-steering fluid levels."

As far as I see it its an oil change and weekend fluid check, then they will cheak all the expensive bits.

    "
As well as all this, you can expect the following checks during your £99 MasterFit service:

    • Clutch
    • Brakes
    • Tyres
    • Steering, suspension, drive shafts & gaiters
    • Exhaust
    • Glass and mirrors
    • Seat belts
    • Wipers and washers
    • Automatic transmission
    • Horn
    • Seat belts
    • Battery and drive belts
    • Cables and wheel bearings
    • Brake fluid condition and temperature
    • Engine noise
    • Brake pipes and hoses
    • Master cylinder and servo."

Sounds a lot like a kwick fit job.

It's an oil and filter change and safety check, most dealers do this for £99 anyway. What you didn't mention was the 12 month AA roadside cover you get with it.

I'm in the RAC. Me and the missus get joint cover in ANY car for £110 per year, home cover, roadside assistance, and relay. An oil and filter change will cost me no more than £40, and is done on the driveway at home. The "weekend checks" cost me nothing, and I carry out the other checks myself too.

A good offer for those who don't do their own maintanence, but not for me

You won't get a service at £99 for a V6CDTI with 7.5 ltr of 5w 30 oil. If you can they will lose money.

The oil costs them very little as they buy maybe a couple of thousand litres at a time.

Plus with trade card discount 5 litres is only £22 over the counter so 7.5 would be £33........
