Default Vectra - boot open indicator flashing during moving

Hi, I have a 2002 Vec C and while I'm driving my boot open indicator flashes as the car goes over bumps in the road. I have tried adjusting the catch and the garage has checked the latch but to no avail???????????

    Any Ideas...Thanks

these boots are a bit of a problem lately.

if you've adjusted the catch i don't know what else to suggest....but don't fret, someone will be along shortly

It's more than likely the catch plate (the little bar thing on the boot lip part of the car. They don't need to be out of alignment much for the sensor to not think the boot is shut. Try moving the plate a small amount one way and then the other way if that doesn't work - if you see what I mean.

Thanks for the replies, I have tried moving the catch plate about but to no success....the local independant vauxhall centre has said I need a new latch????

anyone else come across this problem, sounds simple to rectify but is being a pain!
    Thanks

I think I have found the fault now, I found a loose/break in the wire from the entry to the hatch(grommet) to the lock itself...thanks for the help.
