I've got a job!!!

As quite a few people on here know, I've been out of work since the end of April and Amy lost her job last month, so finances have suddenly got REALLY tight.

Just had a phone call this morning to say that one of the job interviews I went for last week was extremely impressed and are offering me the job (there were three of us put forward for it), not only that but they are offering more than the agency put me forward for as they really want me apparently.

Woo and ****ing hoo

Only downside, it means moving north a bit as the job's in Cambridge, so we're now on the house hunt (we rent so not too major luckily) around the north and west of Cambridge.

Oh thank god for that lol, chuffed bunny, time to celebrate

congrats mate i got made redundant at the end of may and up here in west lothian good jobs are very few and far between .

This coming Monday would you believe lol

My biggest problem is there's no parking around that area so I've got to work out whether I'm going to use park and ride or somehow get to trains and walk the rest or what, but minor issues lol

well done fella, i'm in the same boat just been made redundant, gotta start looking for a new job, no car either as i've had a comapny car for the last 8 yrs

Well Done Ian ... I'm really pleased for you and Amy ... whereabouts in Cambs are you going to be working ?? the park and ride is very good but there's probably somwhere local you can find to park and commute...

Cambs is silly money for rental on property... i was paying £700 for a 2 bed unfurnished flat in Central Cambs in 1990

so look towards the outer areas and villages

closer to me as Ian H says
