    Is that a posh way of saying you are a driver ?

    and of what , may i ask ,

    Rolls Royce or Scania 7 ton lorry maybe ?

    ==========================================

    i am a foster carer .

    or like chrissri82 says ,

    My agency says , when i am in meetings with social workers etc , i should say i am a " professional " foster carer .

    because too many times social workers , other professionals and foster childs family look down on the foster parents as just the " hired baby sitters " .

    Not all the time though , some are really nice .

    We have done training too , been vetted and criminal record checked .

    We also have continuous training and updating .

    we also have to do daily recordings about the child and attend many meetings at school and social services .

    And when the social worker goes home from work at 6 pm , we care 24 hours continuously ,

    be it with illnesses or waiting up at 2.30 a.m. in the morning for police to bring a child back to placement ..

    I won't lie it's quite well paid , if it was 8 am until 9 pm ( which 90 percent of the time it is ) .

    but when it stretches into the early hours of the morning it becomes very poorly paid . ( if you divide it by 24 hours ) L.O.L.

    but it is very rewarding when after a year or so , i see an angry child replaced back with parents and the child is now a happy child .

    Work at Heathrow in the T5 baggage control room, basically monitor the baggage belts making sure the passenger bags get from check in to the plane.

    As i work shift work during my spare time i'm trying to make some extra money to clear the debts, it's hard going but what i'm doing lots and lots of other people are doing it within the UK and ireland and there a few multi millionaires, a few making hundreds of thousands and lots making thousands of pounds so with a bit of hard work in a few years I hope to be one of the rich guys.
