    Default Signum 3.2 V6

    Hi,
I am driving a 2004 Signum 3.2 V6 and need to replace front brakes (full set, pads and disks) and spark plugs. I have been checking in the forum for opinions ,but they seem divided, regarding what would be better for this car. I am not a pro (not even an amateur) and therefore have no opinion at all regarding brands and models. Just want to have the better price/quality. Some of the opinions seem to go to original parts, being pretty much the same price or even lower, and supposedly better suited.
I would also much like to have similar model owners to share some of their experience with this car.
    Thank you all

Genuine Vx discs + pads come as a kit (2 discs + 4 pads) and last time I looked were quite well priced. Have a word at your local parts desk.

Plugs..... the fun part there comes with dismantling the top of the engine to be able to reach them!

Yes I got the pads and disks for mine from the dealer for a reasonable price.
The plugs on the other hand will take you about 2 hours I would imagine , the plenum/intake has to be removed to gain access , not a hard job , just remember where the bits go (take pics if not sure)
The brakes are a doddle to do , there is a "how 2" if you search for it , as always if your not sure regarding the brakes , just get the parts from the dealer , and let a local garage fit them , I would expect to pay no more than £40 for fitting.

As said if you go to the dealer and ask for a disk and pad kit they will be good quality and about the same as (if not cheaper than) motor factors.

Just noticed the location ... maybe the disc + pads kit price might be a little different from your local Czech Republic Opel dealer.

Thanks all for the reply. Car is scheduled for Opel for next week. They have big discount for cars over 7 years old, of 30% for parts and 15% for service. But the discount for the parts is only if the car is serviced there. So I guess that in the end it will not be that more expensive than to buy the parts and service it out in some garage and with the expertise of the brand...
