New Shape-bulb issues

I've read loads on here about improved bulbs and have decided on the Philips ones. BUT...can anyone tell me if Im getting my wires crossed (sorry for bad joke!!) but will this cause problems for the on board computer that detects when bulbs have gone etc?I'm sure I read somewhere on here that if the bulb blew it wouldn't be detected by the fault test.

shouldn't be the case, the new bulbs are direct replacements and will not effect the computer at all.

when the bulb goes, it will register on the on-board computer display.

You will only get problems if you go hid , but then there are kits to counteract the bulb alarm .
