Default Has Anyone Heard Of A Brohn Polisher?

Hi, just a quick post before I possible make a mistake and buy on of these:-

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...t_16224wt_1139

The write up seems pretty good and it is in my price range! Just wondered if anyone else had had any dealings with one??

I would prefer the Megs one but it is a bit pricey

    Thanks

Thanks for putting me right, it was a DA I was looking for!

I have also found this one:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DoDo-Juice...item3a680a1f5e

It looks similar to the DAS-6 on Autobrite's website (out of stock), and it looks like you can get parts etc for it.

They also have the G220 there for £180 which is also out of stock at the moment. I don't know wether to save for a bit longer and get this one?

    Thanks.

That's a pretty good price for the DoDo one tbh, which as you've noticed are just re-branded DAS DA's, same as the Megs ones which are more expensive too. The one at £180 is the new more powerful one.

Thanks DasArab, I think I will wait and buy the Meg's one @£180.

My Vectra has a few light swirl marks I want to get rid of, I was thinking of taking it to be done but I clayed it last week, then AG SRP, then AG EGP and I was amazed how well it turned out. Thought I might as well put what I would have spent getting it done in to buying a DA polisher and at least it would be there then to use all the time. That and I would probably have to travel hundreds of miles to get a proper job done!!

Just need to get a few extra shifts in now :-)

The only difference with the old and the new new 220 (V2 I think) is that its more powerful. BTW you don't need to use a machine polisher every time you polish, once you've got the scratches and swirls corrected a correct washing method will prevent scratches and swirls and regular top up of a good wax will help protect the paintwork. JMO but ditch the EGP and buy some AG HD Wax, its soooooo much better

Thanks again DasArab. I suppose why spend the extra if it not going to be used all the time?

Last week I invested in some snow foam and lance, already own a Meg's lambs wool mitt and have changed to the 2 bucket system so hopefully I will not be making anything worse!

As for the HD Wax, I have been looking a lot at this and have been very tempted! Would this stuff be compared to DoDo Juice Purple Haze?

Thanks again for all of your help! Dave.

Personally I wouldn't get the megs 220 as its over priced compared to the kestral and dodo ones.

I am going to go for the DoDo one. Like DasArab says, it ain't going to be used all the time and from what I have read is a good quality machine.

I have just joined Detailing World as well to get some do's and don'ts!!

    Thanks.

Hahahahahah there goes the wallet, better hide the debt card ,credit card and paypal details.

Huge amount of great information on there but a lot of it is overkill x 100%. Check out some of the garage collections, some people have 10+ waxes when 1 or 2 is more than adequate, Don't be taken in by more expensive means a better finish. AG products will do all and everything that more expensive products, the one that always come to mind is AG Plastic and Rubber Care, about £7 and will do dashboards, seat backs, door trim and under engine bays, yet most people recommend Aerospace 303 protectant for under the engine bay yet its over twice the price as does no better a job, so why waste the extra money? Stick to the basics, a good wash regime, a good AIO polish and a good wax to seal in your hard work.
