Default CDTI 150 slight coolant loss

Chaps - my 2005 vec CDTI 150 (49k) seems to be loosing a very small amount of coolant over time.
Sometimes when cold the warning for low coolant comes on and I put a small amount in to bring it back up to the line and all is well again for another 700 - 1000 miles agian.
So - are there any common places on these to slightly leak.. Ive had a god look around and cant find anything..?
I did hear that the coolant tank itself can split and leak slightly?
    Cheers
    A

The expansion tanks can split round the seam, leading to very slight coolant loss from the rear of the tank. Hardly noticeable due to heat and the fact that it's at the rear. Same happened to me, took me ages to pinpoint the leak, but a new tank (£20 from dealers) sorted it
