IIRC there should be four 21 watt bulbs in each rear light cluster and I think I am safe in saying that he could use the one from the fog light that doesn't operate as a spare. The car is designed to use the side light if the brake light fails and vice versaso a giveaway of a dead brake/side light bulb is one higher up than the other.

I think this is what you were asking?

The car will warn you a bulb has gone , but will utilise the other sidelight bulb as thebrake or then the foglight , hence why there is still 2 foglight bulbs in the facelift but only one is used as fog . must clean up the connections on mine as when i got it back it kept telling me the reversing lights were not working when they are , bluddy can bus.....

Are you sure about this Dennis? ... other threads have said that wiring does not exist to the foglight bulb that is not used ... some members have run a wire to this bulb to make the fog work.

Opened mine up today and ran a wire across. I need to get the silver bit to go into the connector, have one some somewhere in that damn shed, bet it's the last box, anyway, shoved the wire in as a temp measure and hey presto we have light. I just need to make it permenant

I guess that confirms it then ... so you could use this bulb as a spare in that case.
