Recovery of lost photos

In future I will back up my photos as soon as I put them on my PC.
Last year the PC got a virus. I had to reformat the hard drive. I thought all the photo files were already backed up on another "plug and play" hard drive.
But I must have forgot to back them up.
They were special photos of when my wifes Dad came over here to stay with us for a while.
I remembered I had a photos recovery CD I got with one of the Compact Flash memeory cards.
Well to cut a long story short. I hoped the recovery disc/program would be able to find the photos on the memory card I took them on, even though the card had been used several time (formatted each time the last set of photos were downloaded).
Well I am pleased to say I have recovered all the photos that I lost off the PC. So now I am happy to say the least.

good stuff ed we have loads of photos on our computer of our kids growing its something i should do is get them backed up just in case

Hello mate what operating sytem are you using I have software the can recover formated drives but not deleted partitions.
