going to look at this in a short while with my mate, what do you think anything other than fuel pump i should be concerned about ??

Surely you can find a car with a less silly mileage for that money. Have you tried auctions (physical ones, not online)?

If it was me i would be looking to see it 1st thing in the morning rich

make sure its nice and cold to check starting, Other than that general items like clutch noise from DMF, make sure all electrics work and all the normal check list stuff.

Mileage is high but these engines can go on and on and on lol

its already had 8 offers declined - i reckon he"s looking close to £1100 which to be honest is top whack for car considering mileage. you gotta think about when YOU come to sell it - whats it going to worth then and who"s going to buy it ??
i"d pay no more than £600 personally.

cheer's guys that info has been passed on, like you don i would really want cold start viewing, the guy has been pretty honest with my mate and he seem's to be genuine about it, i have told my mate that he has to be prepaired to walk away no matter how good the money seems to be....

The only problem with auction these days is you have to register and have proof of you address etc to gain entry and pay a deposit. This was implemented to stop imagrants and people with no fixed address to stop them buying and not taxing cars etc. Then when you buy the car On a £2000 car you will have to pay about £500
Indemnity +Vat . It was only £150 until last october. Every acion does this now, and put up prices its daylight robbery.

wow... Surely there are cars with fewer mileage than that?

I only paid £400 for an Astra 1.4 with 100,000 miles on 3 years ago. Really good car and lasted 18 month with 15,000 extra miles with no real problems on reliability. (except the ODO meter stopped working, and the speedo, and the drivers window didnt like being wound down, and the engine leaked oil, and the rust, and the clutch wasnt happy...)... but it did work

Has the second hand car market gone up in price recently?
