    Default oil light on dash

Guys for the last week ive been getting a symbol of an oil can on top of 2 wavey lines, so kept checking the oil level, which seemed fine, so today i did an oil and filter change, but the light has comeback on again.

Any ideas as the oil is at the correct level.

Car is a p/f 1.9 16v and the light comes on under the rev counter

    cheers

Faulty oil level sensor should solve it.

    That is something completely different.

Depending whether on eco-service flex or fixed service intervals, it'll either be an picture of a spanner through an oil can in the rev counter display, or the word "InSP" in the odometer display.
