Default fitting an aftermarket stereo checklist please

can anyone tell me exactly what i need to fit an aftermarket stereo

i have a 2003 vectra active (6 buttons on steering wheel, not scroll type)

i am looking to buy a double din jvc unit, and want the steering wheel controls to work it.

so apart from the stereo, what else do i need? (links to said item would be appricated)

think ive found the lead for it, and then the patch lead for jvc unit,
do i need anything for the aerial connection? keep reading about a FACRA adapter???

what about the fascia surround kit, do i just get the front (around £10 on ebay) or the full kit (around £30)

is it all plug and play or is there any wiring issues (when i fitted a stereo to my vec b gsi, i had to swap the perminant live and ignition wires around)

is there anything else im missing?

what will the dash computer display when the stereo is on? will it be blank, or just show the date as if the standard stereo is off?

if you have a CDR 2005 now, and getting a singel DIN radio fitted, you only need the facia. If you are putting in a doubble din you will need the complet incl cage.

Not many have made integration with the display.. so cant say anything on that.. but it wil keep working, as you would control it via the wiper stalk (if you have a GID)
