Default aftermarket stereo, steering wheel lead

can anyone confirm if this fits the preface 2003 with the 6 button steering wheel (half-canbus?)
i know it says post 2004, so thinking this maybe the reason why

if it doesnt, can you get a lead for the preface?

cheers, cheapest i found was 19.99 on ebay. basically looking at what i need to get on top of buying the actual stereo lol

so far i'm looking at a jvc double din stereo, so from what i gather i need one of these leads to work the steering wheel controls around £20, a cheaper lead that is stereo specific, so a jvc lead at £4.99, then i need to find the fascia adapter, but a bit confused about what i actually need for that, seen the surround for around £10, but then there are more expensive ones for £30 odd, with cage and everything, but wouldnt the cage come with the stereo?

also, what happens with the screen on dash when stereo is on? does it go blank like the vec b did, or does the date display (like when the standard stereo is off?)
