    Default Suspension / Steering

    Hi,

Having a bit of a problem with my 53 Signum 2.2 dti. Over the last few months have been having some issues, car some times feels like a shopping trolley when the road surface is uneven. Have had the following replaced / done.

    Rear

    Shocks
    Springs
    Upper Control arm

    Front

    Shocks
    Springs
    Strut bearing
    Top mount
    ARB

Drop links and both outer tie bars where replaced last year (approx 30K)

Also had a couple of 4 wheel geometery checks (Hunter), the last one when I had the front shocks replaced showed that the front camber was out -.57 N/S and -2.57 O/S. There appears to be no means of adjustment on the front struts, (vin begins 484********).

Also steering wheel is no down slightly on the left.

Any one got any ideas what I need to fix /replace.

    Cheers

Maybe a bit obvious, but how old are the tyres, and have you had all the wheels balanced?

You make no mention of the track rod ends and inner track rods, have these been checked?

Cheers for the suggestion. OK, off to arrange to get inner ones checked. Is this someting I can do with the car on the ground?

Also do yo know if there is a way of having the front camber adjusted.?

I hated driving my Signum, it was all over the place (tramlining) and pulled to the left slightly.

I remembered my last car, an Omega had similar symptoms, changed the front tyres problem solved.

So I bit the bullet and ditched the front Eagle tyres and had some new one's fitted.
Also had the tracking done. The local garage took an age to get my tracking spot on.

Everything is fine now like driving a different car, I even love driving it again.
