Default Auto wipers/rain sensor not working

It appears my auto wipers/rain sensor is not working, as when I had the wipers on the 1st setting (pressing stalk up one place) they did not get faster with heavier rain, so once it dried up a bit, I opend the drivers window and sprayed water over the sensor and window stayed open (used to close)

The only thing I can think has caused it was when I was trying out the DRL function the other day.

any idea how to get it working again as its a pita not having it.

Get faultcodes cleared.. if you used OP-com in the REC, and programmed anything there.. it thown on a faultcode, that you cant see with op-com, you will need tech2 to remove it, and will then again be working.

That will be what it is then as I changed the DRL setting in UEC & REC, cheers kenp, now to find someone near by with Tech2.

    Thanks Again.

    Just follow up..

this is one of the reasons not to use op-com on the car.. as it has a fault in coding the REC, as its default setting for the rainsensor is either.. Off or Rain/lightsensor.

But if you dont have lightsensor it will put up a error, but op-com cant see its ownfault..

I dont know if it would be anybetter with a facelift, i actually also thinks it makes a fault there..

Just rang midpoint garage in middlewich and its going to be £55 if its a 2min fix but will cost alot more if it needs the variances changed. I think I might as well leave it as its a good 70 mile round trip.

I can 100% back this up. I too have rain sensor no communication along with alarm siren no communication!

Alarm is working fine but the rain sensor isn't!

I wish I had read this prior to dropping half the roof and rear quarter out of the car along with buying a replacement rain sensor that it looks like I didn't need!
