    Eek ghost in cd player

    Hi all can anyone help me here I have a cd30 and when going down motorway the radio volume goes quiet then when I come off of goes louder and louder r is there something wrong with it or a setting somewhere I always thought on vauxhalls faster you go louder music go then slow down it goes quite

    I think there is a setting where you can have the cd player change volume the faster you go...idea being you can still hear the radio above the road noise as you get faster. Maybe it was set the wrong way round and it gets quieter the faster you go lol. I believe it's called something like speed dependant volume control

    It might be that the CD player is overheating which is causing it to go quiet???

    I seem to remember there is a failsafe that if the radio starts to overheat the volume reduces

    From the manual (Trouble-shooting)

    Audio playback volume decreases and cannot be adjusted - Appliance too hot, internal temperature regulation active to protect the appliance. Recommendation: Switch appliance off

    0 will stop the SDVC from activating and then the 1 - 5 adjusts how much louder it goes at speed.
