Default Clutch replacement - how to anybody ?

Hi all, what is involved with changing the clutch on a 1.8 z18xe please ?

Ive done a few on older cars, mk3 astra v6, corsa etc... just wondering if these are similar ?

Also do the clutch slave cylinder things need to be replaced with the clutch ?
Or can I simply buy the clutch and pressure plate only ?

    Thanks very much

If your gonna have the gearbox out fella it pays to change the whole clutch assembly and the slave cylinder as well as sods law will mean something will fail

Probably one of the easier ones to do due to there being less of an engine and more room to work around. Its still a case of dropping the subframe, at least on the NS. Dunno why VX opted for this stupid system, mk1 and 2 astras and mk 2 and 3 cavaliers were a 45 minute job. Might as well do the slave at the same time as it inside the bellhousing and as easy to do at the same time.

Cheers guys, so the box wont slide out from the side with the wheel off on these I take it ?

So its a matter of dropping subframe, removing clutch cable, gearbox mount, all the bolts around the box and off it comes ?

    Thanks again
