I went to look at a TVR once, never actually drove one, but was put off by the 'kit car appearance' upon close up inspection.
Too many people I spoke to said they are not reliable...
I think if Peter Wheeler was still in charge, they would still be producing cars in the Blackpool factory. Whether he saw the writing was on the wall and got out whilst he could with the Russian millions, we can only guess.
shame....but it is inevitable, and not just in the motor industry!! you can't make money by producing in the UK.
by moving production abroad they may even produce a more reliable and better put together car.
That's a real shame - they are my favourite 'real' car ever - gritty, powerful and absolutely gorgeous...............unreliability comes with a performance car that can be bought for 40k - its one of those things I'd be happy to put up with, especially as they're not everyday cars anywhoot...
I love TVR's, all of them....I hope moving them abroad only ruins the local economy and not the cars themselves.....(no offence to anyone from Blackpool!)
I love TVR , i want to buy one but not now, maybe when i'm around 25 cos now even if i had the money i dont think i can get insured in one
what do you expect with ruskies in charge!! i hope they choke on their vodka.
and why would you want the local economy to suffer JCB?? its not the locals who are to blame is it
i like tvr for their idea of tc........very long pedal travel lol love it
i don't think JCB wants the local economy to suffer dezzie....although i think he could've worded his post better.
i think he meant that it is inevitable that the local economy will suffer, but hoped that the car itself wouldn't.
