    whats the best stuff to use for starsilver base coat , any toughts welcome

    if its a primer your looking for then when i paint onto plastic i use the
    halfrauds plastic primer,you can choose your own colour primer as long
    as its grey or white.

    cheers bud , just phoned my mate at VX base coat and lacquer arriving tomorrow.

    did my vec b estate last year and had a nightmare with the paint codes , i later found out that theres an Opel and a Vx premium Blue (that was from an independent paint specialist though). in the end i quoted my VIN number then i got a perfect match from Vx

    Steve, for the ultimate in 'key' for the skirts use the Plastic etch primer first.. We used it on C's vectra and it didn't chip of flake, even on the black rubber skirt..

    Trade paint suppliers Steve,

    Ask them for an aerosol of 'UPOL Plastic etch primer'.. they'll sell it seperatly.. it's a water yellow coat that eats in to the plastic and any subsequent coats of primer stick like @@@@ to the provebial...
