    Default 205 to 215 tyres

    Hello all,
I'm looking at getting a set of steel wheels from an 08 vec currently wearing 205/55/16 tyres.
However, my pre-facelift currently has standard 16" alloys with 215/55/16's.
So my question. Can I buy 215/55/16 tyres to fit the steelies or is it not that simple?

    Many thanks.

Should be ok, the tyres on my spare set of steel wheels are 215/55 16.

Difference in tyre width/height and rolling radius is negligible, so should not be a problem.

Thanks for the replies, I didn't think it would be a problem.
I'm just trying to sort out some some winter wheels/tyres after all the sliding about last couple of winters and wanted to keep all the tyres the same size.

Must admit I thought it was the wrong size till I checked the manual too, maybe someone just put them on to save a wee bit of cash or something.
