how do you know for sure its a vx line and not had the extras fitted. doer it say vx line on the v5

VX-Lines are built at the Russelsheim plant, and the VXR Styling pack if ordered as an option can be either fitted at the plant or by the dealer.

not sure what it says on the V5 as I don't get to see them!

The main difference is that VX-Lines have 19" wheels as standard, but you don't get them included with the VXR Styling pack - you have to order them separately

VX Line also has a VXR Steering wheel and gearknob and has the 19" 5 spoke alloy wheels.

So everything but the steering wheel and gearknob can be fitted at the dealer. So you will be able to tell if it is a VX Line. It also states VX Line on the V5 because it is a stand alone model.

VX-Line has a black headlining which I don't think is an option seperately, so if its not got the black headlining its not a VX-Line.
