    Default Sidelights on with ignition

How would i get the sidelights to come on with ignition, bypassing the switch, also would this cause an MOT fail?

Whats the easiest way to do it, without running a new set of wires to the front & back lights.

I have tried that, sidelights come on with ignition but when engine started headlights come on to.

Ah thought thats what you wanted.

No real point having side lights on in the day as you wont see them.

Probably why its not an option but to put dipped beam on.

DRLs aren't dipped headlights though, and it's only the front of the car that's illuminated.

Been seriously considering doing this myself with my angel eye halos as I have them on all the time anyway as a rule, but now I've changed to LED's in the halos, they strobe if I don't have them on, so was planning to rig them to an ignition live so that the front angeleyes came on as soon as I turned the car on. Only downside I can think of is battery drain if I don't actually start the car, but they're LED's so that would be minimal anyway.

I found out today, that if you remove and unplug the light switch, your dips come on and off with the ignition. Safety feature???

Cheap DRL's!! However, you'll not have a working rear fog light = MOT failure.

Wonder if something can be done to the sidelight output wire from the back of the switch, like disconnect it from the switch connector and connect to switched ignition feed.

Don't know how the wiring in the switch works tho due to being half-can
