    Default 2.2 se TB MOD

    2.2se throttle body mod

    Ok I have found company who dose TB enlargement and than fitts a larger butterfly that can give another 10-15 bhp he clams, so I will be sending him mine as a test to see if it really works. Will keep you all posted.


    Anyone else done this???

    I would get a written guarantee from them that the car doesnt go into limp. You wont get any real gains from it also as your restricted by the inlet manifold plus you have a large chimny from the EGR right behind the butterfly. Are this company aware that the 2.2 has no ICV so any mods to the contact point of the butterfly and barrel WILL affect idle even to the point of stalling when coming to a junction.......

    I think i did reed once about an better flow inlet, do yoo know of one?

    Yup I have one in my cellar. Its a 2.4 one from the US via a Courtney group buy.

    And TBH its not worth it unless you want to rev it and you have other mods like zorst manifolds.

    Ho ok, i just wanted it feel more responsive as seems a bit slugish. i think il take off the TB and give a good clean and see it that helps.

    I have a K&N panel filter, from my bum dyno it gives no more power but the throttle response is better. Polish your old TB up mate, you can remove some metal around the opening but not near the butterfly, this should help with response aswell.
