Default No IDS after ECU Update VXR255

    Hi..

I recently had a ECU update on my 06 VXR255. Because of it never had had an update from previes owner.

It all went well and drives a lot smoother than before until I pushed the sportbutton... The switch lights up but nothing happens...
Bought a new switch to check if the old one was faulty.. But still no IDS

It´s all the things.. Throttle response, shocks, and steering that are gone...

The dealer dosen´t understand what had happend. I have it booked for today to check with Tech2 to see if is present or not...

    Anybody have a clue ?

did you have the ids map on your ecu prior to going in for the update? by the sounds of it your dealer has wiped the ecu completely and then loaded up their program

As far as I'm aware there have been no updates for the Vec VXR engine (Z28 NET) so there fore they should not have had to do one. Its sounds to me like they've uploaded another map from a non VXR 2.8 (Z28 NEL) engine and stuffed your ECU. I would suggest this to them and tell them you want a new ECU mate.

How sure are we on that, that there is no update for VXR...

The first time the mechanic connected it to the computer, only 1 update appeared. Because I ask him to put in the 280 map. But he could only choose the one that appeared on the screen...

Today it has been reloaded again and now the IDS workes again.

    Problem solved...???

Sounds like you've got it sorted then mate. I remember there being a discussion about it quite some time ago on another forum. And the final decission was that there were no updates for the Net and Neh engines. But if yours is all working now then sounds like you have had a result.

    Thanks guys...

Maybe he has made a mistanke at first and then loaded the VXR255 software again..
I will check if everything is okay on my way home from work.. But I could feel the suspension was much stiffer with sport button pressed in when I picked it up.

    So I´m a happy bunny
