    Default RC Choppers

Anyone on here into RC heli's? Ive been into them about a year now and progressed up to collective pitch now. Ive still found myself buying 3 ch micro's for indoor flight and playing with the dogs with them lol. Got a Blade MSR fixed pitch too which is pretty cool.

For anyone fancying a laugh and a really, really easy to fly micro RC heli, check out the Syma ones on ebay, gyro stasbilised so steady as a rock and alot of fun. Im getting a 3ch micro with a built in vid camera in a few weeks, im gonna be like a big kid again

    Really worth looking at

Been flying for years mate. Raptors, Blades, but mainly Align Trex's.. Had 450's, 500's 550 600's and 700's!

Currently to a 700 Nitro, a 700E and 550E. All flybarless and they are awesome! Was out this afternoon flying with a mate of mine.

I am no master, but i can do some 3D, inverted etc. Great hobby, but you do need deep pockets!

Also fly electric planes. Got an Extra 300 and Habu ducted fan which is just mental!!

Bit of a video here of the Habu with a camera strapped to its nose...

    http://youtu.be/kt7K6y1na9s

The Habu probably shifts at around 80mph on full throttle so you have to have your wits about you when giving it some stick!

I started off on a fixed pitch Dragonfly 4, upgraded it to LiPo, carbon blades and better servos. Then moved on to a Belt CP2 - really nice heli, 450 size, HH gyro etc. Unfortunately after one particular heavy landing (that's my special term for 'slammed it into the floor when it entered ground effect'), I bent or broke quite a lot of bits and haven't quite got round to replacing them. Maybe later this year I will and get flying again.

My collective pitch chopper is a Belt CP also mate. You must have the V2 if its got a HH gyro? Mines slightly older, has a rate Gyro. Was gonne swap it all out as I have loads of spares and convert over to 2.4 ghz so I can use my DX7i. I always tend to run in idle up as soon as possible, helps with ground effect as there is less pitch on the blades when landing. I checked out am E-Flite Blade MCP X on youtube, same size as the MSR but with full collective, looks like alot of fun for some indoor 3d lol.

Get a second hand one off ebay mate, but take someone who knows about them when you collect, as loads have been spanked badly and not set up right.

The thing with these is to build up to Collective pitch slowly. Best thing for you would be a Blade MSR or a T-Rex 100 to start with. Learn fixed pitch then move up. You'll always have accidents until your really good, thats the beauty of the MSR/T Rex 100. They take a hell of a battering!

Aidi, I've been checking out the larger Align heli's, look awesome. Not a fan of Nitro, I bet your 700 is a monster!
