    Default Mental 2 weeks!

Officially been the worst 2 weeks of my life!

My 14 year old son had an accident at school and ended up with a fractured skull and a bleed on his brain. 3 days in hospital and now we are back home. Worst thing Ive seen in my life. Ive seen people burned to skeletons in their cars, shot, hacked up etc but nothing came close to having to go up to the school to see my son covered in blood being put onto a spinal board and stabilised. Hope I never see that again.

He's made such an amazing recovery. At first they yhought they would have to operate to releive pressure, but the bleed stopped and its a case of keeping a very close eye for 6 months. He was fitting whilst he was unconscious also which was scary.

Then 2 days after we get home my mum burst a vein in her leg, got up there and it looked like an abbatior. Claret everywhere, walls, floor the lot. I stopped the bleeding before the ambulance got there, she's ok now too.

what a 2 weeks! let's hope something good happens now eh?

Thanks Dez. Ive had time off work, they been great. Cam has made a stunning recovery, he's back with me and looks pretty normal, apart from the big scar on his ear which will be permanent so im told. His right ear was pretty much hanging off at the top and need alot of stitching too. Bad times.

Sorry to hear your story, sounds like a rough time.

You have my sympathy, as I've been there myself, both with my kids and also my wife at one time!

Wishing your son a speedy recovery!
