    Default Help!! Loose Pipe

The car is a Signum 1.9 CDTi 2006 and since having the aircon checked by my local dealer we have had an occasional knock, as though something had hit the underside, perhasps a backfire, but this is a diesel.

Had a look around and there seemed to be nothing obvious underneath - it happened again today when my wife had the car, so I had a look in the engine bay.

I found a rubber pipe that comes up from the top of automatic gearbox dangling back down onto the gearbox. I can't see where the loose end connects.

I'll get hold of the dealer tomorrow, but in the meantime - Help!!!!!!

The dangling pipe turned out to be the gearbox vent, I did feel a bit of a pillock, mind you I'd have thought that it would have been tidier.

The knock has been identified as a worn drop link on the passengers side, both sides are being replaced tomorrow.
