...plus 2 minutes programming and voila... a 3 button flip key for my preface Vec C.... at £35... a fraction of the stealers cost

I saw that combo too, I need a second key for the new car. I need a 2 button one though like this one

Can you programme the car to accept the key though yourself, i thought it was a dealer only job and they charge about as much for doing that as they do the key.

If you own a genuine copy of Vaux-Com, Op-Com or Tech 2 then yes you can... I wouldn't attempt it with anything else. However an independent garage may charge as little as £30 to £40 for a Tech 2 session so it still works out cheaper than dealers.

found this on wiki is it correct though ??

You turn the key to the ll position or second click and press the remote pad to open the car. The central locking and indicators for the immobiliser should activate and that is the key programmed. Hope this helps.

Yes you can as this is exactly what I did.... your H code will be on your car pass.... the fob is programmed using a genuine copy of Vaux-Com, Op-Com or Tech 2.

no... this will re-sync a key after a battery change and will not program a new key to the car.

    yep... http://www.ilexa.co.uk/

You will have to take your logbook to the stealers and they will order you a new card for about £20 once paid they will give you a print out until your card comes.
