Question help please .... Hesitation when accelerating

I have an issues that the car hesitates a little when the engine is cold around 1700RPM. I have done the full air box mod, cleaned out the EGR and the boost sensor along with new air filter. It only happens when the engine is cold and its really beginning to puzzle me.
    Any ideas why?

Vacuum hoses? - How long does it take to warm up and is it getting up to temperature when warmed up.

How do I check this? Why would this happen only when the engine is first started?

Could be any number of things ,probably best to have your fault codes read and then report back here we could then probably be able to steer you in the right direction .
You dont say what model your vec is , or whether or not it is petrol or derv

To read fault codes it will need to go to a garage to be plugged in to a diagnostic machine. Have you got an engine warning light on?
