Default Shocking MPG on Insignia 2.0T !

    Hi all,

After 135k miles, sadly my trusty Vec C had to go and I've just bought a 2.0T Insignia hoping for about 32mpg (as with 2.0T vec)
But.. struggling to get over 25 or 26!! even on a long A303 run at a steady 75 nowhere over 28..

Has anyone else had this problem?!

Long story cut short, picking up a 2.0 CDTI Sri Nav on Saturday - does anyone know a 'real world' mpg figure for the manual one of these? I got 37.5 on a test drive round town with a short blat down an A road but would like to know what people actually get!

    Any help much appreciated!

    Paul.

.. Around town I'm into 23/24 MPG! went to parents the other day (about 4 miles each way) and got the dizzy heights of 16!
As a rule of thumb would it be fair to say... (in the 160 diesel)
    Round town, 30-32 ish
Mix of roads, A and B and a bit of motorway, 40-42
Maybe mid to high 40's for Motorway?

It's a heavy car and it's not been run in yet maybe...?

Having read so many threads about it, I suspect I'd only get one if I could afford to run the 2.8 auto Elite...

That does sound very poor. Over the weekend I went to Southampton From Epping which is 110 mile drive on the motorway, I got an average of 37.5 mpg out of my 280 bhp Siggy on the way down there and over the full trip which consisted of 110 miles of straight driving, 80 miles of stop start around town and another 110 miles back on the motorway with an hours worth of traffic jams and in total averaged 32.5 which I think is pretty good and still had 17 litres in the tank when I filled up yesterday.
