Default washer bottle sensor on pre facelift

    Hello

If i got the bigger washer bottle with the sensor in, will I get any notification when the fluid is low. I have had a look where the waser bottle is and can see a bigish black plug hanging down where the washer bottle pump is,

I have the 2 line display with aftermarket radio & half can wiring

    Regards

No. You'd need to upgrade from the TID to a GID to get the low fluid warning. Very worthwhile upgrade btw.

Cheers pal, looked at that a few weeks ago but decided against it. Ahh well will just stick without it.

To be honest, the Check Control usually only starts warning you that the washer level is low when it's already started to falter a bit. I'm not sure if the sensor can be modified to give the warning when there's a little more left.

The warning comes on quite early on my 06 Vectra. It also did in my previous 53 reg one too.

I might take the bottle out and have a look at my sensor. On my 53 Elegance, it comes on just before the jets of water start to break up rather than be continuous. That's with a 50/50 mix of screenwash and water. It's probably just dirty!
