Default just put a deposit on...

....one of the Vec's cousins. A saab 9-5 estate.
Its a Vector Sport 1.9TiD (150), So an engine i'm fully familiar with, The dealer asked me if i'll be taking it on regular longer journeys, and advised me of the EGR probs if i don't. How many dealers would warn you of an problem before you buy?
Spec wise it has only done 29200 miles,
    heated leather seats,
    rain sensing wipers,
bi-xenon headlights, I asked the dealer exactly what they were, and he replied "the annoying bright ones that blind you!"
    Park sensors
and all the obvious stuff you'd expect.
The dealer is sorting my private registration transfer as well, saves me the job.

any way i've only got one poor pic, as i've used the glossy panflet they provide, and copied a pic using my phone, will do a proper pics thread when i collect it.

Can anyone say if i can expect the same common faults as the vectra, is the engine exactly the same as the cdti, as the saab only has a 5 speed gear box.

i never even thought of them, went to look at a bmw and audi, and was disappointed with what my money will buy, driving home passed the Saab garage and thought why not have a look. Couldnt believe how much you get for the money. The only option it doesnt have is the integrated Sat Nav which i am not a fan of anyway. An Equivalent BMW was about 8000 more, or a similar Audi was 3-4 years older for the same money!!!

apparently they dont have room for a 6 speed box, none of the 9-5s have more than a 5 speed box, even the powerful turbo petrols!

they've also got a 18000 mile service interval, rather than the 20k with the vectra
