    confused Extra Functions

    Evening all.

Someone told me that pretty much all Vec's come with all the fuctions i.e. seatbelt warning, front foglight addition, buit in sat, etc. They just arent programmed into the cars computer. Is this true? and what functions can I bring to life?

If you havent guessed already, I'm a complete novice when cars are concerned

    Cheers guys

    Hope it helps

It all depends on your vehicles specification..and the year of manufacture.

Many items need to be modified by inserting extra wiring, others can be simply programmed via Tech 2 or Op-Com.

Some require complete modules to be changed.. usually CIM modules or UEC modules.

CIM = Collumn Integrated Module ( Wrapped around the steering collumn behind the airbag squib. Responsible for anything to do with steering wheel controls and stop / start ignition key status, Airbag and links to other modules.

UEC = Under Hood Electrical Centre - electrical centre underneath the main engine fuse / relay box. Responsible for warning signals (Low fluids and brake pad wear), lighting control, fuel level sensor connection, wipers etc..

More to the point - what "extras" do you wish to fit / enable.?
