Default Anyone in Plymouth want to give me a hand with my inlet manifold?

I was cleaning my boost sensor today on ny 2.2DTI and curiosity got the better of me. So i took off the inlet manifold elbow (what the boost sensor goes into) so I could see how coked up it was. Wish I hadn't. Thick tar I cleaned the inlet elbow with a flatblade screwdriver and carb cleaner. I couldn't believe the amount crap that came out of it!

Just the inlet manifold left to clean but not feeling 100% confident doing it myself. I'd like an extra pair of hands. Ideally someone who has done it before but if not then someone who may be planning to do it themselves but like me not 100% doing it themselves.

There's a few tips on here plus I have a Haynes manual to get by with.

I'm planning on getting it done in the next couple of weeks. On either a Saturday or Sunday.

This is how coked up the inlet manifold is.

Yeah looking to do the upper and lower manifold. Judging by the amount of crap I took out of the inlet elbow its all going to be quite gunked up in there.

Bigmac -thanks mate. I'll wait and see if anyone else with more experience pops up but if not i'll be happy to have your help.

I forgot to add that i'll pay for your fuel if any of you are having to come a distance plus there will be bacon butties and mugs of tea aplenty!

I could give you a hand as i've done this twice but it would be cheaper to put into a garage than pay my fuel

Good news. Forever Vectra is coming down from Taunton to help me do the inlet manifold on the 26th. We're making a day of it as well! We are planning to decat both our cars and I'll be refurbishing his headlights. I'll have my camera ready so expect plenty of photos and some possible how2's.
