After market or replacement Vx? If it's vx then you just unbolt and unplug it (from the p/side boot cubby) and then fit the new one. Make sure the ignition is on to stop the siren (and sometimes the horn) going off when you unplug it, it's very loud when it's going off in your hand.

    Default Alarm Siren fitting

Could anyone advise whether this is an easy job, and whether I need to follow any particular procedures?
Do I need to disconnect the battery for example?
    Many Thanks

Replaced the alarm siren today......but with NO success !!!!!
What other problem could it be......the siren just keeps going off when I lock the doors.....and if it does lock without sounding the siren, the horn goes off like mad about half an hour later !!!!
Could it be the movement sensor above the rear view mirror ????
    Any help.....PLEAAAASSSSE !!!!

You could try turning off the sensor with the switch on the dashboard. Not sure if this is right but I think you turn engine off then press dashboard button before getting out and locking the doors. If that works then it could be something to do with the sensor.

Try this to rule out the ultrasonics. Is your car an estate?

Well thats something else to have a good think about......does anyone know whether the internal movement sensors have a habit of failing?
My local Vauxhall dealer said that "their computer" told them it was the alarm siren......and it was going to cost £150 to fix !!!!
