Hi, don't know about the route, but we've just been to a fab camp site.

Take a look at http://www.eurocamp.co.uk/ also suncamp and keycamp

The companies only operate static caravans on the sites BUT the sites themselves have camping pitches, caravan pitches, mobile home. So use eurocamp to look at the pretty pics and see what sites you like, then google the site to see about booking a pitch to suit your requirement (assuming you don't want to rent a static!!).

We went here in Italy http://www.marinadivenezia.it/ ans the facilities were fab... and spotlessly clean!

We've driven to the villa in spain every year for the last 15 years or so now and we go the same route all the time as it avoids Paris (You'll want to avoid Paris as its normally a car park with carless drivers 24/7)
We do UK to Spain in one go, normally takes anything from 12 to 18 hours depending on stops etc..

    Calais>Abbeville>Rouen>Evreaux>Chartres>Dreux>Orle ans>A10>A71>Cleremont Ferand>A75>Beziers>A9>Frence / Spanish Border > AP7 >>> Hola Espania

They're called "pedestrians", Pete - if you stay off the footpath you should managed to avoid them just fine.

We just came back at the end of June and on that route the tolls came to around 60 Euros each way, there's one big toll of around 30 Euros for travelling most of the way down France and the others are around 1-8 euros each..

The villa we goto belongs to our Family, but I'm also looking for a villa in Spain or a bungalow / 3 bed house in devon or cornwall to rent out for holidays and use ourselves, had a look at a few on the last trip around Palamos and Sant Feliu (costa brava), just need to make my mind up
