Default Enable seat belt warning on Vectra C 06

    Hi guys

Have just bought a Vectra C estate Exclusiv after my old Omega got rear ended

I like the Vectra, had Vauxhauls for donkeys years. Having read through the seat belt threads on here it sounds sas though my car should have the warning and chime. I know I will want it gone after a day, but I would loike to know it works, if you know what I mean.

There was no sign of the warning light, not even in test mode at switch on.

I had a m8 check it with tech2 and he enabled it in the seatbelt section. Now the light comes on at ignition, but then goes out. I see the wiring under the seat but all looks in tact. I hve not put a mirror under, just peered from footwell. I will try with a torch in case.

I read that if you remove the fuse/relay then the indicator clic noise gets disabled. Well that works OK. I also read that if you unplug the pasengers underseat wiring that it can disable the pasengers air bag ^^

If the underseat wiring is not the issue, any ideas how it has been disabled?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi nikroc

I am not sure where, I just rem someome saying that if you remove the fuswe for the seatbely warning, that it stops indicator and wiper off click noise.

I have had a gander under the seats and the two plugs seem to be connected.

    Cheers

I thought they removed the seatbelt warning in later models. I know my 03 plate had it, but my 54 plate doesn't.

Yip bit I don't think they removed the whole lot m8. If yours is half canbus you may get away with just getting it enabled.

If it's half canbus it will have the 6 buttons on the steering wheel - 3 either side. As yours is an '06 it will have scroll wheels on the steering wheel meaning it's full canbus.

Full canbus is on any Vectra registered after mid October '04.

Early vectras had it my 53' GSi did and late ones my 09' VXR does'nt, strange as its only a software change that would have deleted it so it cant be put down to a money saving thing.
