Could'nt tell you for the oil burner but i got a major service on my vxr for £180 from linwood. That was oil(latest dexos2)+filter, fuel filter, air filter, pollen filter and a brake fluid change. As i opted for the VX spec service it also got the expensive GM dexos 2 oil a full health check and plugged into the computer to check for fault codes and software updates.

Looking at a couple of hours labour.

And it cost me about 120 just in parts

Bare in mind that trade price for the oil filter is around £35 alone.

Actually a good price for all that - just a pity they are worse than useless

The dealership I use charges £150 plus VAT for OE service (not using GM-LL oil, add £25)
Masterfit service is £150 and that was using GM-LL oil, however it does not include the Pollen Filter
    Brake Fluid change added £45

I've had several quotes from independents and most are around the £250 to £300 mark

Finally, is the cambelt change, comes in at near on £400

The cambelt interval on this engine is 100K miles / 10 years
Also it easy to examine at any time as it is visible when the engine runs, as it only has a top cover

My cambelt was replaced at 87K miles / 4 years 3 months
What gets me is this interval doesn't match the service schedule of 30K miles / 2 years

I wouldn't take a cambelt to 150K miles when it is specified to 100K miles
Equally, on VX engines it is often halved after the car has been released for one year

If you do replace it yourself then make sure you obtain the kit and not just the cambelt
You may also need the locking kit, my local garage has advised this will probably push the price up unless they can hire it
