Hi all,
Sorry I haven't had many posts on here. A bit of a newbie when it comes to cars.
I'm on my second Signum now, my first was a 2.2 direct 54 plate which proved a little thirsty. I decided to go for the 1.9 cdti version as I loved the car so much, this may have been a mistake as the 2.2 was spot on with NO faults!! Ahh well..
Bought this from a garage as a bit of a safety net........yeah right!
Sorry if this is a repeat thread but having trouble finding the answer anywhere!
When I bought the car the emissions light was on which I asked the garage to sort........8 fault codes showed up!! To cut a long story short had a new inlet manifold fitted. Went to pick it up and light still on, was told it was the glow plugs and the were ALL faulty, car ran fine, started fine etc.
Anyway no chance to fit them and 2 weeks down the line and my car can take upto 5 mins to start, fine when running except sounds like a bag of spanners has been left in the engine and has become a little thirsty, emission light stays on constantly now......
To cut a long story short again lol I am buying some glow plugs but not sure if its a 16v 150BHP or 8v 120BHP. Log book says 120BHP, DVLA say 120, Insurance says 120......Vauxhall says 150BHP vehicle check sites say 150, and it certainly pull like a 150BHP. Its a 54 plate 1.9CDTi Design.
Is there an easy way of telling just by looking at top of engine? Attached a photo if thats any help?
Some research say oil filler cap on right its a 150 and on left an 8v..is this right?
Thanks for any help in advance?
