    Default Warrenty & Network Q

Have Any Fellow Veccy Owners Had Problems With Claiming On Warrenty Or Net Q After Alterations.
I Fitted A Dump Valve On Me 2.0t After Finding Out The Recirc Actuator Had No Spring In And Vx Wouldn't Fix As They Said It Came Complete With Turbo For 1.2k And As I Had Taken It Off They Couldn't Prove Whether It Wasn't Their To Start Off With Or Whether I Had Lost It. G"ts.
Asked If Fittig Dump Valve Would Null And Void Warrenty , Net Q.
Got Told Only If Fault Would Be Connected To After Market Fit. I.e Turbo Failure. Which Is Fair Enough.

Brake Pads Warning Light Came Back Up Last Week After 3.5k Of Ownaship Took Into Vx They Said Wont Change Under Warrenty Or Net Q As I Have Fitted Dump Valve And Ice Kit So It's Not Standard So If Want To Claim On It I Have To Put The Old Actuator In Which I Carn't As Their Is No Spring And Intercooler Pipe Is Cut. ( Have To Do As Per My How To Last Month) And Put Old Stereo Back In.

How Can A Garage Say That Because I Have Fitted An Aftermarket Stereo They Won't Do Your Brakes Under Net Q?
Or What Has The Dump Valve Got To Do With Brake Pads?

Forgemotor Sport Make The Valve And Partsforsaabs Sell It Obviously For The Saab And Saab Will Cover The Car Under Warrenty If Fitted At Dealer As It Has Been Tested.

My Edition 100 Has The Same Engine So Why Won't Vx Honour My Warrenty Net Q?

My Choice Is Pay 134quid For New Intercooler Pipe And Actuator Complete, Or 196quid To Get The Pads Done.

If You Carn't Tell Im A Bit Miffed.

Phone network Q direct and ask as the garage are probably wrong - espically on the pads issue
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

The Problem Where I Live Is The 3 Vx Garages Within 50 Miles Are Owned By The Same Nupty Which As Disgust Will Have It Is Related To Me.

Surely Though They Will All Speak To Net Q And Give Me The Same Answer?

I can't see how on earth they (the garage and/or Network Q) can refuse the pads due to what you've done to your car!! What a load of cr*p that is!!!

As you say, if you take it to another dealer (even one of a different chain) it's possible that it's been logged with Network Q (the reg number is logged) and so they may then refuse it again.

Whilst it doesn't get around the problem of them refusing to do the work, you certainly don't need to spend £134 to revert your dump valve stuff back to standard, and most definitely not £196 to get your pads done!!! Was that just pads?!!, or discs and pads?

Either way, save yourself a load of cash and get the discs and pads yourself. If you know somebody with access to a Trade Club account you can get a set of front pads and discs for around £50. Fitting is really easy. GSi3.2 (Mark) did a How 2 (in the How 2 section).

That is total horse ****. My car has an Alpine stereo which was fitted outside of a Vx dealer. Since then, it has even been to the factory for a month for repairs which were over £4000, all under warranty.

Network Q covers brakes I think you'll find. Also the warranty states any part that has been modified will be considered individually. Anything not related to the modification is covered as normal.

I suggest you go in and start seriously shouting at someone. It's all dealers seem to understand these days.

Unless you are a pedal jockey who brakes late it wont be worn pads, most likely the sensor has a fault in it, not expensive even if you have to pay yourself, which you shouldn't.

Probably shouldn't have messed with the turbo

And stereo shouldn't mean anything, unless you've done a loom in while fitting it, even then I doubt it would set the pad wear light off.

And yeah, I agree, you should be miffed.
