Default Bilstein B6 OR B8 shocks

Wheres the cheapest place to get these? I dont really rate LMF so would rather not give them my money.

Also a bit of dumb question..what would happen if you used say b6 front shocks but b4 rears on eibach springs?

Imo B4's are only oe equivalent, therefore if you want any thing better you want b6 at least... for them try Euro Car Parts...

Or do what i have just done... opt for the Monroe reflex shocks, they are uprated above oe & have good reviews.
I haven't had the fitted yet - booked in Monday, i ordered them from the Monroe online shop uk: http://www.monroeshop.co.uk/?gclid=C...FRRc4QodgRv-XA

next day delivery & the cost is very good...

As said no point getting B4's. B6's or B8's are the way to go. I think there is an ECP discount code somewhere

Vehicle : Insignia CDTi SRi NAV 160

    Trim : SRi

    Engine : A20DTH

    Year : 2009

    Mileage : 88000

There are two types (not incl IDS etc) of standard shocks fitted to Vectra's.
    1.Standard
    2.SRi

If you want to replace standard ones then you can get the OEM Sachs (brand that is already on the car in most cases) from ECP.
If you want to replace the SRi ones then B4's or Monroe Reflex. Monroe state that their reflex shock is not to be used with lowered cars.
If you want to replace with better ones then B6's would be next on the list and would ideally be matched to Eibach springs -30mm therefore lowering your car (non SRi by -30mm, SRi by -15mm.
If you then want to go even better then get B8's which are shorter in length are ideal for springs that offer -40mm or lower.
There is a B12 kit which includes B8 shocks and lowered springs available.

As for pricing there is not much difference where you go, sometimes you can get a discount code for ECP but then they take the Bilsteins off the website so you cannot use it.

I have B6's and eibach -30mm springs fitted to mine and I spent weeks trying to get the best price and still failed at the time.
Lois Griffin: Peter! You're bribing your daughter with a car?
Peter Griffin: Ah, c'mon, Lois, isn't 'bribe' just another word for 'love'?

note euro car parts in conjunction with eibach and Bilstein will NOT supply B8's, I ordered the B12 kit and recieved B6's...complained bitterly, bilstein backed ECP and refused to supply B8's!! Eibach were also pains insisting i had the higher rated fronts....which did not lower my GSI...obviously ECP had a lot to do with this unhelpfullness, I aviod them now, they are cheaper but I cannot recommend them in any form!
BTW the OEM Sachs were just as difficult to compress as the B6's and the Sachs rebound was even slower than the Billies.....
Having complained I now have to say the suspension is awesome...
