Default 2.2DTI Air intake error codes = LHM

    Hi Folks,

Having fixed my limp home mode issues last week by replacing a faulty Vacuum solenoid I now have brand new errors causing Limp Home Mode!!

It seems to do it at 70mph 5th gear only whilst acclerating.

P1105 - Barometric Pressure not plausible with Boost Pressure
    (FA) - Present

P0105 - Barometric Pressure not plausible with Boost Pressure
    (FA) - Present

P0110 - Intake Air Temperature Sensor Circuit High Input
    (07) - Present

P0234 - Boost Pressure Control Circuit Negative Deviation
    (5A) - Present

I had the barmetirc error a last month so I took off the sensor and cleaned it (by blowing on it ha!) and it didnt occur again. Funnily enough another member who works around the corner had the same issue on his 2.0DTI the same week and I cleaned his for him as well and porblem went away.

Does it look like the Barometric sensor is on its way out though? I havent seen the 'P0110 - Intake Air Temperature Sensor Circuit High Input' warning before and as for 'P0234 - Boost Pressure Control Circuit Negative Deviation' I had replaced the boost sensor last week because of the same error warning thinking it was playing up.

Where is the Intake Air Temperature Sensor?

Is one sensor failing and tripping off all the others?

My other hunch is maybe the butterfly vavle in the Inlet manifold elbow may be getting stuck paritally shut and affecting the boost/air pressure in the system although the car drives perfectly until LHM kicks in.

    What do you guys think?

    Hi Innes,

The intake air temp sesnor is in built into the MAF unit. I had the same code come up during my rebuild and cleaning it made it worse. I had to replace the MAF in the end. Cleaning chemicals can damage the sensors over time, so the more you clean it the shorter the life of the part.

I've not had the barmetric code before but I have had P0234 5A which required a small tweak to the actuator as it just boosting a little too much and mixture was wrong causing LHM at 60-70 under accelleration. I know you have adjusted the actucator before, so try 1 full turn out to extend the rod and then retracting it 2 full turns if that fails. Once it has been played with from factory, it's hard to get it right without calibrating the turbo pressure.

Thanks mate. I thought the temp sensor might have been in the MAF. It looks like the original MAF (9yrs old) so could probably do with a replace.

Will tweak the actuator rod a bit more as well.

    Thanks for the reply!
