    Default VXR Remap

Well, after 6 months of use with my CR1 tuning box, I've decided to go for the VXR Performance Center Remap...

Spoken with Dave at 888 and I'm going down tomorrow morning first thing... meeting up with Matt also for a chat !!

Word on the grape vine, is that a 210 remap is on the way (already being tested on the Astra, but should be better suited for the Vectra as it is supposed to have a stronger gearbox to handle the torque). 210bhp wont be available until the new year though (and may require the intercooler to be upgraded, but not confirmed yet).

So.... the VXRD is getting a new brain !!

These CR1 Tuning Boxes are bl00dy good though.

When I went from 888 on Sunday morning, we were in convoy with about 30-35 VXR's heading to Silverstone Race Circuit, anyway, in front was a Silver VXR Vectra, and behind me was a Black V6 Turbo Elite (automatic).

As we headed down the slip road, all the cars floored it. The Silver VXR in front wasnt going anywhere I can tell you. When I got to the other end, the Black V6 Turbo came over and said "your car is quick for a diesel" which I thought was nice, until he mentioned that he has the VXR engine in his car which has been remapped to 300 bhp (I know its an automatic) but he still was suprised how fast it was, so total respect to the VXRD

That 210bhp map, mmmm, they were supposed to be working on a 240bhp map using a new turbo and larger intercooler, But i can live with 210, which is an upgrade from the 186bhp with their standard remap.

Nice one Spoons, my VXR goes in Sat for the re-map too

Any further map upgrades are carried out FOC. if you go for a bigger intercooler or turbo VPC will re-map to suit at no charge which is excellent value for money
