Default little drl led mod in progress, bit of advice

hi all, currently collecting up littlebits and pieces for a DRL mod im planning. witch is totally different to the standerd block things you currently get of the bay.

currently got a selection a relays, leds, wire, connectors and such like

but am having issues on how to have the set up ive designed to run.

    should i have them

1 - work as soon as the car is on and stay on all the time.
2 - work only on there own "go out when sidelights are on"
3 - work with side lights only.
4 - work with dip beam only.

    cheers for any input, Tim

i would say wire them up as DRL's are supposed to be so on when nothing else is IMO

I always thought that DRL's should only be on when no other lights are lit which is easy to do... wire the DRL's to ignition live then feed the power to the DRL's via the normally closed contacts of a relaxed relay which itself if activated by a feed off the sidelights so when the sidelights are on the relay is activated and opens the normally closed contacts which breaks the feed to the DRL's turning them off..
