Default diesel knock with reconditioned injectors fitted

    Hi,

Im wondering if anyone can shed some light on the above issue?

I had a terrible judder under 1500rpm and mpg was down, put the car into a garage and they done a leak off test that shown injector 4 was shot and number 1 was close to shot, suggested i change injector 4 first and see what happens, so bought reconditioned injector and had it fitted, garage rang and said they all need doing as it sounds like a bag of nails.

I picked the car up and it was knocking like mad so decided to replace all the injectors, put car back into garage and had the rest fitted, he said its still knocking a bit but not as much also said it would need a good run so the car gets used to new figures and it should settle itself.

Ran it for over 60 miles and it didn't improve so went back to garage and the guy gave me my key back and asked if everythings ok? shaking my head nnnooooo its still knocking, he checked it over and put a flush though the fuel tank and told me to kepp running it as it should settle. (haven't paid the guy for doing the job yet)

went to another garage whom i can trust as its my fathers local and never given a problem, told him what happend and he says the original guy aint lieing to me and its normal that a diesel will have a diesel knock after having new injectors! also said that may be able to alter the preasure in the common rail so he said he'd check on his disc on the pc over the weekend and let me know, so he said the poundage (not sure how to spell lol) can be checked on it but vauxhall could do this and he couldn't aslo it statted on the disc that it will give a diesel knock and will settle.

has anyone been through this and found the car has settled after a few weeks?

Does anyone know anything about checking the poundage in the common rail and if it can be adjusted?

Hope i aint bored too many people with this lol.

Have the new injectors been coded to the car?

Reset them????? They are reconditioned and been programed to the car. They guy who did them worked for vauxhall for 15 years working his way up through machanics levels so would of thought he knows what he's doing.

I had the displeasure of having injectors replaced twice and in both occasions there was a slight diesel knock. Nothing like you're describing though...all settled within 10 miles.
