Default The VXR airbox hole does work after all ;-)

Some of you may remember I was a bit disapointed after drilling my airbox and appearing to lose power, and it seeming to make my car run rich.

Well the old girl was booked in for a few tweaks, but prior to anything being done it was re run on the rollers. Well it would apear I must have had a bad batch of fuel last time as she did 279.2 bhp (272 pre hole) and 380lbft (360 pre hole).

Before and after graphs to follow (once I get chance to scan them in), but the curve is alot smoother since drilling.

Hopefully make it to the MPG RR meet and see what she makes there given RS tunings rollers always seem to read low compared to else where.

    Not bad for an auto

See I told you it would. I'd like to get mine on another rr as the last one we did the chap only ran the cars in 3rd gear and i've been told that they should be run in 4th, I dont know if it would make a difference but would be interesting to see. I've heard MPG's rollers can give some pretty optimistic figures though.

Last place I used for a r/r session was Perfect Touch in Hoddesdon and they were very good. Depends how far away from you it is I guess, but I'll be heading back there again at some point once I've done a few more bits and errrm got a job so I can pay for it lol
