    Default Better Dip Beam

I know we all complain that the dip beam on the Vectra (esp prefacelift cars) is rubbish.
What bulbs are out there to improve this? I want the Xenon effect or bright white.
I saw these on Ebay and was wondering if anyone had used them? Do they throw up the bulb failure warning and are they legal??

    Thanks

I would go with Osram nightbreakers, but its all personal preference. Have you had the headlights adjusted to the highest legal settings?

Yes. Totally agree. My Osrams only lasted 8 months. That's the trouble with brighter high performance bulbs. They're driven a lot harder and in turn generally don't last very long.

HIDs is the way to go.

Know anyone who could fit them (HID) if i do get them?
With regards to the SMD units - Would the fact that they are hidden behind the projector style lens not hide the fact they are SMD's and not bulbs???? so you wouldnt know if they were angled properly.

Even 35 watt HIDs leave any of the alternative "super power" bulbs I tried looking like candles. 50 watt HIDs must be amazing. HID kits are so cheap now, I wouldn't bother with anything else. You won't regret it!
