    Default MOT - knackered springs

Well the Signum has just failed its MOT on the usual - springs.

Unfortunately, not 1, not 2, but 3 not acceptable so yip, what better excuse than to put some lowering springs on

My question, can't afford shocks as well right now, am I really risking ******ing up the struts if I don't look to replace those as well (my friendly mech is advising me against springs only for this reason)?

Whats user views and experiences of spring only upgrades?

I am not an expert on all things boingy but it seems a common mod to fit springs without changing the dampers so I would have thought if your dampers are ok it should be fine.

you won't need to change your shocks if you stick with a 30mm drop they will be fine with that.
i just replaced my springs with eibach 30mm drop about 2 years ago and all is still ok all on standard shocks

Contemplating changing to spax myself at the moment mate. You can get them cheaper direct from spax iirc. Thats where lmf will get them sent from anyway

Ignore me, they are cheaper from LMF
